iPhone 4S launched in Malaysia

Yesterday night, all three of our mobile phone network provider Maxis, Celcom and DiGi held their own iPhone 4S official launch. Long queues in all three launches and many got more than 1 unit of iPhone4Gs. Though this is no longer an uncommon sight since the first launch of iPhone in Maxis years ago. It is still a sight to behold. The spending power for iPhone is still here. Always has been.

Pleasure Delayer

Its been weeks now since Apple announced the official OSX Lion to be launched in July 2011.

It was rumored to supposedly launched in the first week of July. It didn't.
Its also been overly hyped to launch this week. Today is already Friday and it seems more and more unlikely that it will be.

Ergo another wave of hype is in boiling about the Official official launching of the much coveted OSX Lion is to be launched next week.
I sure hope so.

From experience, Apple has always been sort of a Pleasure Delayer as explained by Tom Cruise in Vanilla Sky:

"How does that work?- Pleasure delayer?
You don't know?
You keep a relationship casual...
until the absolute breaking point.
And then one evening or afternoon or morning--
it could be months from now.
You know how it works"

Well, I have to admit its getting a bit old but it always gets me. I'm absolutely at the breaking point of having to need to get one.

Arghhhh~~~

I've been checking my email every now and then since signing up in Apple's website to notify me when Lion is launched.

Lets hope it will be tomorrow.

OSX 10.6.8 and Thunderbolt

According to one set of benchmark, OSX 10.6.8 appears to significantly improve graphic performance as compared to its predecessor OSX 10.6.7. And test suggest all go on updating to this latest update.

Also, if you're using a Mac that uses SSD hard drive, you're in luck. This new update also boast  support for TRIM that according to Apple, is a feature that allows SSDs to automatically handle garbage data collection, this ability is important as without, garbage data collection overtime can significantly slows down your SSD.

Finally, Thunderbolt port that's been sitting at the side of your latest Apple, well apple has unveiled recently a Promise Pegasus RAID system that utilizes the Thunderbolt. Awesome stuff considering the data transfer speed for conventional USB or FireWire 800 are nowhere near the maximum of 800 MB/sec transfer rate.

Been busy, will try to update more.
=)

Cheers. Have a nice day.

The First Day

Today marks the first day of my long overdue blog.

Too many years after my first Mac.

13 years overdue since Steve Jobs returned and revolutionized Apple as we know it.
12 years after the first Mac OS 9.
11 years from the first Mac OS X Public Beta "Kodiak".
10 years past the eventual launch of first Mac OS X v10.0 "Cheetah".

9 years since the launch of the iconic iMac G4 nicknamed "iLamp".

8 years after Apple first launch of iTunes Music Store.
7 years since Steve Jobs successful surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from his pancreas.
6 years after Tim Cook was announced the new Apple's Chief Operating Officer.

5 years after Mac first announced collaboration with Intel and launched Mac that can run Windows and other operating systems.

4 years after the introduction of the revolutionary iPhone.
3 years from the first 3G iPhone.
2 years since Apple overtake Nokia for the first time in a quarter to grab top spot in cell phone profit.
1 year after the Apple introduced the mouth watering iPad.

Months after the launch of the 2nd generation iPad, dubbed iPad 2.

Like I said, long overdue..

Long story short, I'm a Mac fan and I also buy, sell, trade, resell, supply and repair Mac for a living for the past 6 years! I don't think I'm hardcore or anything but I'd say I'm an enthusiast. All my experience with Mac has been a good one if not great. I look forward to more people sharing the joy I've had with God and Mac.

I hereby welcome you to my humble abode.
